Good Morning! I’m here to share a quick superfood smoothie I whipped up yesterday.
Featuring the delicious superfood, maca! Maca is known for its energy, mood/hormone balance, sexual health, and vitamin rich properties. Not to mention, it tastes SO good.
Feel free to use this recipe as a base and add to it if you prefer. I just kept mine really simple this time and I loved it!
Cinnamon Swirl Maca Smoothie (makes about 24 ounces)
-2 cups almond milk
-1 TBS vanilla extract
-1 tsp almond extract
-1 TBS raw maca powder
-a couple dashes cinnamon (I probably used 1-2 tsp)
-1 small avocado
-vanilla/plain liquid stevia to taste (I used a couple dropperfuls of each)
-a couple handfuls of ice
Place all ingredients in a high speed blender or nutribullet and blend until smooth. Adjust flavors to taste.
I may try adding some goji berries or mulberries to the mix next time.. Also, instead of avocado, I’m sure banana and tahini or almond butter would taste great. Don’t be afraid to get creative! What are you planning on trying?
