**Healthy Workout Travel Tip!**

Don’t put so much pressure on yourself to “work out” when your schedule is super packed (or you’re traveling like crazy), but don’t make excuses to completely neglect your body either. 🤸🏻‍♀️

Movement should be a form of self love and self care, not punishment or strictly trying to maintain a certain physical image. When I’m traveling a lot and I barely even have time for sleep (yikes! It happens though..) I make sure to stretch every morning and/or night and stay active with walking whenever possible, or maybe do 10 min of yoga in my hotel room (as was the case in this picture). 🧘🏻‍♀️I do that because it feels GOOD not because I’m putting strict expectations on myself. Our bodies are always listening and feeling what our intentions are- so please be good to yourself! 🙏🏽I used to force myself to go to the hotel gyms on the road even when it didn’t feel good and guess what? My body held onto extra weight for protection because it was resisting the bs expectations I was setting for myself. 🙅🏻‍♀️I was tired. Exhausted actually.
The last thing I really wanted to do was get on the elliptical or lift weights, but I made myself do it and let me tell ya, it sure was counterproductive.
Now I go with the flow, try to rest, stay hydrated, make as healthy choices as possible when I’m away from home (hey, I still like vegan treats 😛), and if I don’t exercise during a crazy busy schedule, it’s all good!
I’ll stretch. I’ll walk. I’ll do a quick yoga sesh. And I’ll get back on my feel good workouts when I get home. 🥊
It took years for me to figure this out but life is so much better once I trusted this and put my self first, with the right intention. ❤️
This was a much longer post than expected, so if you’re still reading this I love you!
What are some of your favorite forms of exercise/movement when you’re on the go? I wanna hear!
